DEIR EZZOR, SYRIA (10:00 P.M.) - A military source from the Qassem
Units told Al-Masdar moments ago that over 80 Syrian Arab Army soldiers
were killed by the U.S. airstrikes in Deir Ezzor.
The source added that the death toll will likely rise in the coming hours as more bodies are discovered in Jabal Thardeh.
Originally, the Syrian Armed Forces were able to pull 20 bodies from the rubble; however, since recovering most of Jabal Thardeh, they have discovered dozens of dead soldiers.
Most
of the soldiers were killed when the U.S. Air Force dropped phosphorous
bombs on their positions, killing the men instantly.
